The first step to co-creating tourism for the future at the Black Sea is raising awareness about the role data analytics can have for sustainable tourism development in the region. Therefore, "Ovidius" University of Constanța organized the workshop titled Tourism 4.0 for the Black Sea - Data Analysis for Sustainable Tourism Development Strategies. This is the first of three events within the project that will bring together local authorities and government representatives, research institutes and tourist providers as well as other representatives of the tourism business environment at the regional and local levels to collaborate and transform tourism at the coastal area of Romania.
The event will take place at the first International Conference in the Black Sea region on Blue Development: Ecosystem Services on River-Sea Macro-ecosystems. Among high representatives such as Jeffery Sachs, Laszlo Borbely and Nicholaos Theodossiou, on behalf of the T4BS project Tomi Ilijas and Urska Starc Peceny from the lead partner Arctur, will hold a keynote speech on the vision and tools of Tourism 4.0 in the session of the Education and Innovation for Blue Growth as well as contribute to the plenary section of the conference on Knowledge Based Decision Making.
